A Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) test can help diagnose Celiac Disease or other gluten sensitivities. People with Celiac Disease often develop two types of tTG antibodies: IgA and IgG. This test looks for IgA antibodies, and is a common initial screening test for the disease. There is no fasting requirement for this test, however patients must follow a diet containing gluten for two weeks prior to sample collection to ensure gluten sensitivity is able to be measured.

No special preparation is required.
