This Female Hormone Panel 2 includes:

Complete Blood Count (CBC): A common test which can help identify infections, bleeding disorders, anemia and other health concerns
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): A chemistry panel which includes measurements for blood sugar, liver and kidney function, electrolytes and others
Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate (DHEA-S): A hormone test which can help evaluate adrenal function and fertility
Estradiol: A primary component of Estrogen which can help to monitor ovarian function
Estrogen: The primary female sex hormone
Pregnenolone: A substance which is necessary for the healthy production of various hormones
Progesterone:A hormone which is primarily used to evaluate fertility issues
Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin: A protein which helps transport various hormones throughout the body
Testosterone: A sensitive testosterone test appropriate for women and children. Abnormal testosterone levels can effect fertility.
TSH: One of the primary tests for thyroid function. TSH levels help regulate the production of T3 and T4.
Free T3: A hormone produced by the thyroid. T3 helps regulate metabolism and other bodily processes.
Free T4: A hormone produced by the thyroid. T4 production is closely related to TSH levels.

The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel test requires fasting for 9 - 12 hours prior to going in for blood collection.

Results for the Estradiol blood test may be falsely elevated by the medication Fulvestrant (Faslodex).

Specimen collection after fluorescein dye angiography should be delayed for at least 3 days. For people on hemodialysis, specimen collection should be delayed for 2 weeks.

Collection should not occur during or after administration of heparin.
