Indoor Respiratory Allergy Panel

  • CLIA Certified Labs
  • Best Price
  • Digital Report

Assess the levels of immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies triggered by 12 common indoor allergens. This examination can aid you and your healthcare provider in identifying potential allergies.

  • Sample Type: Blood
  • Results: 6 days
  • Age: 18+

The Indoor Respiratory Allergy Panel detects immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies produced in the bloodstream in reaction to specific indoor allergens. This panel evaluates immune responses to a range of allergens including:

  • Alternaria alternata mold
  • Aspergillus fumigatus fungus
  • Blomia tropicalis (Tropical) house dust mite
  • Cat dander
  • Cladosporium herbarum mold
  • Cockroach
  • Dermatophagoides farinae (European) house dust mite
  • Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (American) house dust mite
  • Dog dander
  • Goose feather
  • House dust
  • Penicillium notatum fungus

While IgE antibodies are typically present in minimal quantities in the bloodstream, elevated levels may indicate an exaggerated response to allergens. This heightened reaction can prompt the body to release histamine, triggering an allergic response.

This test identifies the presence of IgE antibodies to tree pollen allergens, yet the outcome alone cannot confirm an allergy diagnosis. It's crucial to consult with your healthcare provider. They will assess your results alongside your medical history, symptoms, medications, and other test outcomes. Only a healthcare provider can diagnose an allergy and prescribe medication, if necessary.

No preparation required.
